Little Thinkers Alam Sutera

Little Thinkers Alam Sutera celebrated Kartini’s Day on Wednesday, 21 April 2021. It started with a flag ceremony followed by a short story introduction of Ibu Kartini. K1 and K2 students sang the “Ibu Kita Kartini” song.  Then, students moved into breakout rooms where they had individual class activities. Toddlers matched traditional costumes, Playgroup students completed puzzles and made paper dolls. Pre- Kindergarten students enjoyed the memory game while K1 and K2 students did coloring activities of the traditional Indonesian clothes and a Batik pattern. They also prepared Indonesian snacks, “cilok” and “cenil” which they brought home and shared with their parents.  The celebration wrapped up with the presentations from each class activity, the performance of Pre-Kindergarten students singing the Javanese traditional song “Cublak-Cublak Suweng,“ and the group photos showing off the costumes.

?Little Thinkers Surabaya celebrated Kartini’s Day on Wednesday, 21 April 2021. It started with a flag ceremony, then all students listened to the story of Ibu Kartini. When K1 and K2 students sang “ Ibu Kita Kartini”, all joined in the singing. The students went to their classes for their class activities. Toddlers matched traditional costumes and pasted Kartini’s face. Playgroup students completed puzzles, matching traditional costumes, and making a paper doll. Pre Kindergarten students completed puzzles, had memory games, and created a mat using colored paper. K1 and K2 students colored traditional Indonesian clothes and a Batik pattern. They also made an Indonesian snack “cilok” made with a blend of all-purpose flour and tapioca flour with some seasoning. At the end of the celebration, each class presented the class activities to the other levels and enjoyed the performance of Pre-Kindergarten students singing a Javanese traditional song of “Cublak-Cublak Suweng“. It was a fun celebration for everybody.
